Chapter 11

• I didn’t check my phone to see if Jake had responded because I was way too anxious. Time seemed to fly and by the end of the day, I couldn’t even escape to say that I wanted to go somewhere first; dad dragged me home so I could change for the dinner.
• I texted Jake again hoping he would respond but my message delivered and I didn’t get any response. I figured he was busy and decided to focus on the task in front of me which was dinner with my father.
• I didn’t want to do too much so I just settled for a simple black sleeveless body con dress. It was floor length with a slit that runs up my thigh (I’m not sure if I own any dress that doesn’t have a slit) and the back was bare with some criss cross patterns.
