• Max took a deep breath when he realized that they were finally alone and safe. There was still a lot to fortify in the cabin to make it secure for her, but at least for now, no one had tracked them there.
• She pressed against Liam's chest and felt her small belly separating them. They would have to go to a hospital at some point to see how the baby was progressing, but that would have to wait a bit.
• He took her hand and the two entered the cabin. The cold was already seeping into their bones, and in a couple of weeks, it would start snowing.
