Chapter 16 A Desperate Situation

• The first time Joseph Duff, prestigious magnate of the English trade and owner of the Penzance port tender, called in the early morning to change the meeting time to noon, Max noticed that the man seemed nervous. But when he called a second time to change the meeting time again, Max began to think that there was something more behind all these delays.
