• Liam stood by the only window in the cabin, vigilant, with all his senses alert, his adrenaline pumping and feeling like his heart was about to fly out of his chest at any moment. But the silence in the forest was such that if a man had stepped on a branch a kilometer away, it probably would have been heard.
• Meanwhile, Max searched in the only wardrobe. There was clothes that smelled musty, but they were clean. He pulled out something that would fit him and luckily found some boots smaller than Liam's shoes.
• And as in every hunting cabin, there were several weapons and boxes of bullets at the back of the wardrobe.
