Chapter 29 Does She Hate Her That Much?

• Vítor is in a meeting since early morning. One of the guards who watches over Adelaide's door informed him in the early hours through a message that Mr. Egil's personal physician and his assistant were in her room without his authorization. He needs to address this matter as soon as he leaves the meeting. He is the secretary in charge of the estate in Mr. Egil's absence, and no one can act on their own, or it will be complete chaos.
• The meeting drags on, and by nearly noon, he walks heavily to his office and summons the doctor. He knows of the physician's experience and service to the Arrabal family for over twenty years, but that does not give him the right to disobey his clear and concise orders.
• "Mr. Vítor," the doctor enters and greets him respectfully. He can imagine the reason for his summons, but Egil instructed him on what he should say. "How can I assist you?"
