• In the garden of the Arrabal estate, Adelaide and Irene take a stroll in the company of Eleonor after a delightful snack. The conversation among the women is pleasant until the young woman spots her sister walking in the distance towards one of the farms.
• "Your sister has been secluded in that estate for a few days now, dear," says Mrs. Irene when she realizes where Adelaide's gaze is directed.
