Chapter 13 Curiosity
- The air stays concentrated in my lungs as I watch the muscular man I married, looking at me intently. His gaze travels from my face to my feet and back up to meet my eyes again.
- "Cover yourself with the towel, Day. Do it if you don't want me to take you," Ryan says in a low, hoarse tone that reveals his suffering, but I don't know the cause of it.
- "Does something hurt him? I've heard that many elderly people suffer from illnesses or pains that can complicate whether they can do certain activities or not. Is that what's happening to him?" I wonder to myself.
