To his surprise, Victoria was already there, deeply focused on the treadmill with headphones blaring. He couldn’t help but stand and watch her seriousness, her demeanor noticeably changed since the first gala they attended. She actively avoided being alone with him ever since, especially after the incident with her family, something she deeply regretted. She usually spent most of her time away from the house, returning only to sleep, missing his company no matter how sparse it had become.
