Chapter 131 Don't Fight It

• Frustrated by how the day had ended, which had started so well, Matt returned to the office and finished his work, even though it was four in the morning. The mere idea of going back to his room and not seeing Victoria in bed bothered him. He couldn't explain how he had become so dependent on someone else in such a short time. Before, his room was his sanctuary. No one except Doris entered, let alone his weekend adventures. Now, the thought of being with another woman besides Victoria made him sick.
• The next morning didn't exist for Victoria, if it weren't for Doris waking her up. With a heavy heart, the cheerful woman said goodbye to her. Finally, she had decided to take a vacation, although after seeing the bruise on Victoria's lip, she couldn't help but doubt. Doris had taken her task of taking care of Victoria very seriously.
