Chapter 89
- When Roth finally regained his senses, it was well past midnight and he was in a room in the hotel where the bar was located. His head was throbbing and his eyes hurt as he tried to take in the view around. He was alone in the room - he sensed the smell of sex still lingering in the room, he assumed he must have gotten a woman up there with him, and he knew that that must be after he had had a lot of alcohol.
- His phone was almost out of battery as he played the message from Eleanor, from three hours ago. He panicked as he recalled that he was not supposed to leave the house while Tristan was on bedrest. Would Eleanor still be there keeping him company?
- There were more voice messages from Eleanor but his phone died before he could play them. Roth tightly closed his eyes and then opened them again before shaking his head, trying to shake off the previous night from him - no use crying over spilt milk now.
