• The following morning, Roth's first order of business was to check his messages. For the first time in a while, he didn't have anyone to call or speak with in the morning. The absence of Eleanor was starting to sink in when he noticed an email from the investigator. He immediately sat up in bed, took a sip of water from the nightstand, and dialed the investigator's number. Minutes later, they were connected.
