• Nick caught up to me in about ten feet. He was really mad. He gave me a death glare with eyes that had turned from hazel to steel gray. His nostrils flared a little in anger. I was right next to him when he grabbed my arm so that he could talk without anyone else hearing. There were waves of evil coming from him, and he shot daggers at David. "What the hell are you doing?"
• In a calm voice, I told him, "You have about two seconds to let go of my arm before I start screaming bloody murder."
