• Nick grabbed a quick bite to eat and took a shower while waiting for her call. Just as he stepped out of the bathroom, his phone rang. Dropping his towel, he lunged across the room to answer it, completely naked, only to crash awkwardly onto the bed. "Oh, shit! Goddamnit!" Those were the first words that escaped his mouth when he answered the phone. "Hey, Lalaine."
• "What's wrong?" Lalaine asked, concern evident in her voice.
