• The bell dinged, signaling their stop at another floor. Before the doors opened, Nick pulled away and stood by Lalaine's side. A nurse stepped on, carrying a food tray. Judging by the way her eyes widened when she took in Lalaine's appearance, it was clear she knew exactly what had been going on. Lalaine's chest was heaving, her hair looked disheveled, and she could feel the flush on her skin. When Nurse Observant finally stopped staring at her, she swept her eyes over Nick and gasped.
• Lalaine turned to find the cause of her reaction, but he seemed perfectly normal to her. She was about to chalk it up to the effect his attractiveness had on women when she suddenly noticed the enormous bulge in the front of his pants. Quickly, she stepped in front of him to block Nurse Observant's view of the colossal bulge. Just then, another nurse stepped onto the elevator, and the two soon engaged in conversation, relieving Lalaine from the need to protect her man from prying eyes.
