  • Polly skillfully created a twist with my hair, artfully placing wispy locks to enhance my facial features. The boldness of the makeup surpassed my usual style, yet the smoky eyes were surprisingly flattering. If only Del could have seen me now—she’d swear I was a different person altogether, and maybe she wouldn’t be so embarrassed about being seen out in public with me.
