Chapter 430 The Bet (Part Six)

  • Chadwick Fullner strode forward and entered the warehouse, stating, "I'm not worried about losing money. Cabbage is inexpensive, and this is just a small amount. How much could we possibly lose? We recently opened a new store, and it's more crucial to establish a good reputation than to focus solely on profits. I view this loss as an investment in advertising. Additionally, it was my mistake. I didn't anticipate such a positive response, with a large turnout exceeding my expectations. We are running low on stock. If we can't meet everyone's needs on the first day, why would they return? I will speak with them later and emphasize the importance of adhering to our guidelines in the future. Limited stock means limited availability."
  • Two employees followed Chadwick Fullner skeptically, moving around fifty to sixty pounds of cabbage. Chadwick Fullner instructed, "That's sufficient, just this amount." There were still a few more cabbages in the warehouse, although not many. Chadwick Fullner only allowed them to move this quantity. Upon assessing the number of people present, fifty to sixty pounds of cabbage seemed adequate. Any more would only complicate matters later on.
  • Several individuals carried the cabbages outside and placed them at the stall's entrance. Chadwick Fullner, however, did not rush to sell them. He apologized to the waiting customers, stating, "First and foremost, I apologize to everyone. It's our shop's first day, and we were not adequately prepared, resulting in a lengthy wait. Thank you for your patience. The discounted cabbages are sold out; these are regular-priced wholesale cabbages. To compensate for your time, I will sell them at a loss, one cent per pound. This is all we have in stock. If you doubt me, feel free to visit the warehouse."
