• Jeri stood there in the middle of a room that had pale grey furniture. Everything matched and seemed like it had been placed meticulously to balance out the room. Trendan appeared beside her and tossed his jacket on the long couch.
• “Liri should be here in a minute with a robe so we can get you to the chamber.” He went in a door and then came back a few seconds later carrying a small box. He opened it, put a ring on his finger, and then took out another piece of jewelry and set the box on the table.
• A knock on the door startled her. She turned to look at it as Trendan reached it in a few long strides. He opened it wider, and Liri rushed through.
