Chapter 48
- Jeri rolled over and looked at the window. It was daylight. Not the early morning kind, but the bright-I’ve-missed-half-the-day kind. Flipping the covers back, she shoved the hair out of her face and picked up her phone. It was the middle of the afternoon. She got up, grabbed her robe, and headed for the door. She needed coffee. She stopped outside her room and shook her head. Nope, bathroom first. She’d been asleep for twelve hours. That never happened.
- Going into the bathroom, she looked in the mirror. she didn’t look like she was getting sick. Closing the door, she set her phone on the counter. Apparently, realm hopping was exhausting.
- She was standing at the counter staring at the coffee brewer as it gurgled.
