• Liri and Abe had been gone for a half hour, and all they’d done so far was sit and look at the fire burning. It was mesmerizing.
• Jerika sighed. “I could stay here forever.” She rolled her head against the back of the sofa and smiled at him. “It’s so relaxing. Or I just ate too much.” She chuckled. “Maybe that amazing hot chocolate was drugged.”
• Trendan grinned at her. “I don’t think Mitz would do that to anyone. The royals adore their aunt as much as she cares for them.”
