Chapter 54
- Trendan sat up and looked around. He didn’t want to ever leave this cabin. Rubbing his hand over his face, he looked over at Jerika. Her hair was spread across the pillow and over half of her face, but she was still the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. He couldn’t believe that now, after so long of living, he now had shared his soul with his other. He couldn’t even describe how it felt. It was everything all at once, which was a bizarre way to think about it. he now understood why Liri was so happy and more sure of herself. It was as it a part of him had been missing all this time, and now he was whole. he looked at her again and smiled. Now, he was ready for the announcement and whatever came after it. He froze. He’d agreed this wouldn’t happen until after the realm knew what was happening. Bas was never going to let him forget it.
- He should go see if there was coffee somewhere in that kitchen. The nap had been very much needed. Grabbing his pants, he lifted them and looked under them for the rest of his clothes. It was a little chilly in here. The fire must have burned down too low.
- Stretching, he untangled his shirt sleeves and pulled it on as he went out into the main area. The fire was completely out. He’d deal with that after he got coffee going. Walking by the window, he looked out it and then stopped and turned and looked toward it. The sun was coming up, not going down.
