Chapter 31

Jeri was glad for the helmet to hide her face when they pulled around the corner and approached the building. The looks on Bastian and Ava’s face were pure shock. She didn’t know what it looked like with Trendan on the back of her bike, but it was a pleasant surprise to her that he agreed to go on it with her. Her bike wasn’t really built for a man to sit on the back, and it had caused her to adjust cornering somewhat, but overall, it was nice to have someone ride with her. This little outing had been full of things she hadn’t expected. The kiss was at the top of the list. Never in her entire life had she ever felt like she belonged with someone. Dating wasn’t something that had ever worked out for her. With Trendan, it felt like they’d been together forever, and yet it was so new at the same time. Of course, if it were to go any further than a few kisses, she needed to know if that meant she was agreeing to be a royal ruler. The thought of that seemed odd and unfounded.
Turning the bike off, she felt him get off, and then she slowly took off the helmet and got off. Setting it on the seat, she glanced at Ava to see her grinning.
“Did you find the spot?”
