Chapter 78 Both Sides Playing Dumb

• My brows were contorted together and I was deep in thought, I had a feeling that if Jack were to refuse Eliam, he would go to any length in other to get hold of Matta, and Jack would naturally retaliate to show that he would not in the least afraid of him and that might escalate to the point that the two powers under the two will clash and that is not a sight I want to see especially now that Ace is not around. If that were to happen I don't know what Edward will do to us next because it will be a clear indication that we are not at peace at all. We all know that Eliam's plans for Matta are not good but what Jack fails to realize is that Eliam is ready to risk a few big things on this matter because he feels that whatever he was planning has a high chance of succeeding.
• After that first time, Eliam continued to send me letters and messages telling me to join hands with him to fight Ace, so when I said this Eliam literally thought that I had started contemplating joining hands with him, and therefore he smiled, patted me on the shoulder and left the room in a very good mood, he thought he was closer to his goal not knowing that I was trying to buy more time for Ace. 'He thought I would join forces with him? What qualifications does he have, except his looks that he can only use to deceive girls?' I scoffed internally but made no sound outside. I hope Ace will return sooner to sort this shit out.
