Chapter 16 Choosing Pleasure Over Wealth

• After I was done with my work, I left my office to take a cool shower whilst in thought but still, I couldn't find a solution to it. I dried myself, wrapped a towel around my waist, and left the bathroom heading to the building penthouse with a sneer on my face. A few days ago after we six forced Ace to bring Quinn into the family or we would bring her in ourselves, he called me a few days later and threatened me to help persuade our fellow brothers to desist from their plan. Laughing at his words I was about to tell him that he was just joking because there is no way they would ever change their mind on something like that, and above all, there is no way they would listen to me, how can they when they couldn't even listen to him who had a better advantage over us a little, just a little. And that advantage was what he was trying to threaten me with.
• He boomed to me about my work that was about to fail, and that if I didn't do as he said, not only would he not help me save that project but he would even help the project to hasten its downfall. I was so angry that I smashed a diamond vase that I bought for millions of dollars, the money was not the issue but that vase was my favorite. He knew how important that project was to me, he knew the level of wealth it would bring to me, to us because in the end we are all Luthers, and no matter how much we dislike each other, it all ends in the house, facing the world, we are one, we got each other's back. I was so surprised and shocked when he chose Quinn over us, I mean, is not like he won't fuck her anymore or he won't release deep inside her and feel satisfied, with protection that is, so, why is he doing this?
