Chapter 16 Her Home Country
- After ending her thoughts there, Denice drifted back to sleep. I want to hold her, but I can’t. It’s inappropriate to do so; we’re already crossing the line sleeping in the same bed. As his thoughts ended, he too, went to sleep. The next morning, around 230am, Denice’s alarm sounded. She got up and went to the bathroom to get dressed. Though her alarm was a bit loud, Derreck still slept. She would allow him to sleep until it was 315. When it was nearing 310, she went back into the room to wake him up. She told him the time and he got up out of bed and went to the bathroom to change and handle his hygiene. After checking the hotel to make sure that they had everything, they grabbed Denice’s things and made way for the airport after checking out of the hotel. They got to the airport within 30 minutes. She took her things out of the car and turned to look at Derreck before offering a warm smile.
- “Derreck, thank you. Though it is in the wee hours of the morning, I am thankful for you. I will let you know once I land and I will communicate when the time is right thereafter.”
- “Leah, you are very welcome. You are embarking on a new journey and it is time for you to become who you are meant to become.”
