Harvie noticed the amazement in Jordy’s eyes as he looked at her. “Violet, take Gloria downstairs and wait for me. Ernest, I have something to tell you,” Harvie said. “Okay,” Jordy nodded and quickly looked away from Gloria. He then assumed a respectful posture and approached Harvie. As soon as Harvie turned to lead Jordy into the room, his face darkened and he grew cold. They entered the room, and without warning, Harvie kicked out at Jordy. Jordy reflexively tried to dodge the attack, but Harvie noticed this and narrowed his eyes. “You’re not Ernest, are you? Who are you?” Harvie asked, his tone full of certainty. Harvie had known Ernest for many years and was aware of his mannerisms. Even if Ernest was just defending himself, he should have recognized his situation and not tried to avoid Harvie’s attack. Additionally, Ernest’s eyes had darkened, which was out of character for him. All of these factors indicated to Harvie that the person before him was not Ernest.

Jordy no longer tried to conceal his identity when Harvie called him by name. He tore off the mask he was wearing and met Harvie’s gaze without flinching. Harvie hated the way Jordy was looking at him and didn’t tolerate anyone challenging his authority. He took a step forward and kicked out at Jordy again. Jordy was quick to dodge, but he stumbled a little. Harvie immediately launched another attack. Jordy didn’t have time to avoid the blow and was kicked. He retreated a few steps but didn’t fall.Harvie clapped his hands and several of his men swiftly entered the room and surrounded Jordy with a nod from Harvie. “Jordy, you had an opportunity to leave, but you didn’t take it. Now you won’t get a chance to escape…” he growled. However, before he could finish his threat, Jordy acted swiftly and easily overpowered his men. This display of strength showed that Jordy was not easily intimidated.

He thought back to the previous relationship between Gloria and Jordy and the animosity showed on his face. “Jordy, don’t think I won’t kill you,” he warned. Gloria still had feelings for him after all, women were more likely to miss their old flames than men. If he really did something to Jordy, Gloria would be the first one to be angry! With no weapons, Jordy was no match for Harvie. “You’d better bring Ernest back to me before I return from the party,” Harvie commanded as he forced Jordy into a chair. Despite his ability to easily free himself and fight back against Harvie, Jordy refrained from doing so out of respect for Gloria, who was Harvie’s niece. Since he knew that if he really hurt Harvie, Gloria would never forgive him. Harvie sneered at Jordy, “You may be a company president now, but why do you still display such shameless behavior?” Jordy didn’t care about Gloria during their marriage, but now they were divorced, and Jordy had kept approaching Gloria. Harvie was particularly irked by Jordy’s behavior, especially when he saw the raw desire in Jordy’s eyes when he looked at her. Jordy was incensed by Harvie’s words and retorted, “You have no right to judge me. You may be her uncle and the boss, but some things are not your business.” Harvie’s face darkened at Jordy’s warning.
