• After a long discussion, they decided to ignore Gloria’s threats. They all agreed that Gloria would never take any shares from them. And they seemed unafraid. The deadline finally came. At the last minute, Gloria called Claude again. Claude answered the phone with a grim face, “Hello.” Immediately after, Claude heard a cold voice over the phone. “Have you decided yet?” Claude’s face turned gimmer. Gloria’s voice was icy, and she didn’t even call him uncle. She showed no respect for him. Claude spoke quietly, “You are too young to take over the company, and…” Before Claude could finish, Gloria chimed in, “This is your last chance. If you don’t appreciate it, you’ll be sorry.” Claude scoffed, “What’re you going to do?” “You know the answer and the consequences. That’s it.” With that, Gloria hung up on him. Claude’s eyelids flickered.
