Chapter 24 Losing Means Calling Daddy

  • "We have cards and dice; there are so many of us, so we can play a lot."
  • "We have enough people; nobody wants to play with you!" Leticia couldn't wait to drive them away.
  • Travis knew they were not welcome and shrugged indifferently. Unexpectedly, Joel, who was usually economical with words, suddenly spoke up, "Vice President Gemma is talented in many ways. I'm sure playing cards and dice is no problem for you. Do you dare to play a game?"
  • Since Gemma returned, his gaze had been locked on her, watching her play on her phone and not speaking, as if he and his companions didn't exist.
  • Joel restrained his inexplicable emotions. The woman in front of him was the most familiar stranger, and he couldn't describe her.
  • Gemma looked up casually and looked at him calmly. "What's your suggestion, Mr. Summers?"
  • "Why bother with him!? What can you do if you dare or not? Don't be fooled!" Leticia had no good feelings for Joel and his acquaintances; they were all birds of a feather.
  • Mark saw Gemma raise her eyebrows, knowing that someone was about to fall into the trap, and looked like he was enjoying the show.
  • The young masters present were no strangers to eating, drinking, and playing. They could play cards and dice with their eyes closed. Travis had the upper hand and was already scheming.
  • "It doesn't have to be that complicated. The simplest is fine." Gemma pointed to the cards. "Each of us draws one card, and whoever has the higher card wins. What do you think?"
  • Travis rolled his eyes. "This is too simple; we're not kindergarteners."
  • Joel didn't say anything, so he agreed. Gemma leaned forward slightly. "What's your bet, Mr. Summers?"
  • His eyes were deep, and the dim light reflected her hazy face. "What do you want to bet?"
  • Gemma hadn't said anything yet, and Travis proudly took over. "I'll put up a villa. If I win, it's yours. If you lose, what will you do?"
  • He looked at the people who appeared tonight and spoke contemptuously. "If you lose, you have to apologize online and explain one by one how you seduced Ian and these young masters. Do you dare?"
  • Michael and Mark were stunned; their faces instantly turned unpleasant. Leticia was furious and wanted to start a fight. Cecilia shook her head, indicating that Gemma knew what she was doing and not to interfere with her plans.
  • Joel frowned slightly, feeling disgusted by Travis' aggressive behavior. Just as he was about to speak, Gemma coldly snorted. "I don't need a villa. If Travis loses, he has to kneel in public, call me Daddy, and reflect on his actions."
  • Her calm demeanor seemed to indicate that she had everything under control. It was as if she didn't care about winning or losing.
  • Travis readily agreed, waiting to see her lose miserably, not knowing how much he was worth.
  • Joel was an expert at playing dice and cards and had already mastered the skills. He had never lost a game in Travis' memory. Dealing with a few unknown people was more than enough, and he could finally wash away his shame!
  • To make it fair, the waiter shuffled the cards. Joel signaled Gemma to draw first, and she didn't fuss; she just drew a card and placed it on the table.
  • "Mr. Summers, please."
  • Joel stared at her complicatedly and hesitated for a while before reaching out his hand. Was her attitude too casual, was she so certain, or did she not care about winning or losing?
  • Travis' tail was almost curled up to the sky as he stretched his neck to watch the exciting game as if the outcome was already determined. What's the use of having a backer? It's just a decorative pillow, relying entirely on one's looks to fool these fools.
  • Joel hesitated for a moment and threw the card in his hand onto the table. It was the King of Diamonds. Leticia became nervous immediately. She turned her head to look at Gemma, her face still calm.
  • Travis laughed heartily, unable to conceal his arrogance. "Bro, I was worried that you would let your desire for beauty cloud your judgment, but thankfully you didn't mess up."
  • Michael quickly narrowed his watery eyes into a dangerously thin line, his expression becoming cold and frightening.
