• “She went to buy groceries,” Hu Tu replied after gathering her thoughts. She added after some thought, “Uncle Ning Jian, I would like to go back to the dorm this afternoon.” She felt the need to calm down and get accustomed to remaining single, or else she wouldn’t be able to pry herself away from him.
• Ning Jian lifted his head and locked eyes with Hu Tu, and he felt sorry for her when he saw her red eyes. He leaned over abruptly to give her a peck on the lips. He rubbed her head upon noticing her anxious look, which tousled her hair and separated her bangs, revealing the wound that was now covered with a band-aid on her forehead.
