• Mingming merely smiled without saying anything. She then turned around and stepped into the elevator. Mo Bai didn’t enter up until the elevator doors closed, upon which she let out a breath. The elevator descended. When the doors opened, however, Mo Bai appeared outside them. When he saw her coming out, he stretched out an arm and grabbed hers before walking out. “Mo Bai, what are you doing?”
• “We’re getting a room!” The man’s voice was raised a few decibels, causing the passersby to all cast their gazes upon them. “Didn’t you say you want to try out the spooning position? Weren’t you in such a hurry to do so? Then, I’ll try it out with you first,” he murmured lowly beside her ear, his voice tinged with traces of chagrin and ire.
• Mingming should be feeling fearful, but he was pulling her along very gently. After taking two steps, he even slowed down his pace on purpose. This had her breathing a sigh of relief, for she understood that he was merely spouting off in anger. As this thought crossed her mind, her mood lightened considerably, and she allowed him to pull her along while they walked to the roadside.
