• Hu Tu snapped back to realize what she had done and was intent on withdrawing her hand, only to find it held tightly in Ning Jian’s grasp. “U-Uncle Ning Jian...” Her voice was trembling.
• Ning Jian turned to meet her with his deep gaze, and he opened up after a long while, “I thought you’ve forgotten that I am.” He then cast her hand away to turn away with his eyes closed. It took a lot of strength for him to suppress the restlessness within him as he strode away to seek some solace outside of the ward.
