• The chair was overturned as Han Chun stood to leave after shooting them a glare. Mei was laughing so hard while covering her mouth that she was slamming on the table. Mu Qiao stared at her in confusion as she asked, “What are you laughing about, Mei?”
• Mei stood as her smile faded. “Mu Qiao, we’ll be waiting for you outside, so you should come out when you’re done eating.” Mu Qiao lost her appetite due to the commotion they made, thus went after them with her bag and phone in hand.
• Han Chun was smoking, but he would discard it and go into the car after he saw her coming. Mei followed suit, but the car door was shut and locked when Mu Qiao tried to do the same. “You should sit in front,” Han Chun demanded. Mu Qiao wasn’t keen on debating with him over the matter, thus obeyed by climbing into the passenger seat instead after taking a breath.
