• Our wolves ran as fast as their legs could go, and the bad stench of Rogues hit my nostrils as we entered the pack's territory, Rogue smell was that of rotten flesh. It is the worst smell.
• We got to the pack house just in time, my father, and brother are both in their wolf forms fighting these vicious-looking wolves, without wasting much time Greg’s brown wolf jumps and catches one on the throat, fighting with my father. He shakes his head viciously until it stops moving.
• “I need one alive.” I mind link before Rage attacks the Rogue fighting with my brother, tearing into its neck and ripping it apart.
• The smell of blood and dead bodies lingered in the air, we had killed all of them excluding one who we now had in the pack's cell for questioning later. Now I had more important issues at hand, we had two casualties because of the attack today, my men were taken unaware, and it almost caused two of them their lives.
• “ Where were you? Liam, we were taken unaware by those Rogues, we could have had more casualties!.“ Derick says
• The fight was over, I ordered some of my men to get rid of the bodies and clean up all the mess. My warriors, Dad, Derick, Greg, and I were now in the pack house discussing the situation at hand.
• “ Derick I had some business outside waterfalls to attend to.”
• “What kind of business that had you gone for hours, you have been in your shell for days now Liam you think I haven’t noticed that Dad and Greg have been the ones running the pack for days! Maybe if you were here, we wouldn’t have been attacked.”
• “Watch your tone, Derick, you don’t talk to your Alpha like that!. “ Greg says through gritted teeth
• “Who do you think you are to tell me how to talk Greg, right now, I’m talking to my brother and I get to talk to him just the way I like, so stay out of it. For what possible reason did he leave the pack for that long ?”
• ” You want to know? Uh you want to know the reason he left right, well, I wish it was in my place to tell you Derick because you are an ungrateful asshole.”
• “Greg! That’s enough, we have a lot on our plate to handle right now, not stay here and argue. “
• ” I Am sorry Alpha, I just got carried away. “
• ” Derick, as I said, I had business to attend to and whatever my business is, is none of your concern.”
• “I know what happened today has everyone on edge, let’s all be on alert.”
• “You all have fought well and protected your pack, putting your body out as shields and has put your family first, I am proud of everyone I tell them.”
• The warriors all left after having dinner, Mom was stressed, so she prepared a lot of food. That’s Mom. Whenever she’s stressed she cooks not just cook, she cooks a lot of food and various types of snacks. Dad volunteered a long time ago to allow cooks to help in the kitchen, but they end up losing their job because Mom does not let them work at all.
• The attack on waterfall today has affected everybody, it’s been years since we were last attacked. It’s a good thing we still train, warrior or not, girl or boy, as long as you’ve gotten your wolf everyone trains for cases like these, self-defense is highly effective.
• ” Son, can I come in. “ I hear Dad’s voice outside my office door.
• “ Yes, Dad come in.”
• It was later that night, and I couldn’t sleep after today’s incident, so I decided to work on some paper works.
• ” Liam son I’m so sorry for your brother’s behavior today. He shouldn’t have talked to you like that in front of others.” Dad says as he takes a seat opposite me.
• ” Dad, Derick is the least of my problems, I know how he can be sometimes, so it’s alright.”
• ” You went to see her right? ”
• I clench at his question, avoiding his eye contact I walk over to the window, staring out, and close my eyes, thinking of my mate Again.
• ” Yes, I went to see her. I couldn’t help it Dad I just wanted a glimpse of her, to be able to perceive her sweet smell again, I needed something to help. I was losing my mind without knowing how she was faring Dad.”
• ” It’s alright son, I know how you feel, and I want you to know that it’s not your fault the pack got attacked today, attacks are normal events that happen in packs every day. We’re just so lucky with the image you’ve built that we don’t get attacks, I bet our intruders didn’t even know who they decided to mess with.”
• ” Thanks Dad.” I say with a half smile, not every day I get to hear these words from him.
• ” When do you decide on telling him, Liam? I see how bad you are hurting, and it’s affecting the pack too.”
• ”Soon Dad I’ll do it soon, my major concern is my mate, Dad, she doesn’t even know of our existence. How does she accept me when she loves someone else, Dad, she’s human. “
• “ Yes she’s human, but that doesn’t stop her from feeling the bond, I bet she’s already drawn towards you? No matter the specie one’s you meet your mate, the bond is created. You need to tell them, Liam, you can’t just keep suffering, you're an Alpha you need your chosen to mark and to mate, Liam you need to start making pups already, so the sooner you spill it the better, I know it’s not in my place but if you don’t talk, I will.”
• Dad is right, the sooner I talk, the better it is for all of us, I know how much it’s going to be for Macy to take in right now, but she has to know the truth because I don’t think I can keep my wolf at bay anymore.
