Chapter 11

• Liam POV
• I did some paperwork in my office that morning that needed my attention urgently, I was still in my office when I heard Mom’s call through the mind link.
• “Come let’s eat breakfast together son, I made your favorite.” I hear her sweet little voice in my head
• “I’m almost done here mom, I’ll be down in a few minutes.” I mind link back.
• Dad, Derick, and Greg were already seated in the dining area when I got down.
• “It’s time you arrived in Alpha because I’m starving, and Mrs. Torres here has everyone waiting for you before we eat.” I heard Greg’s voice
• I turned to see Dad and Derick staring at me with smiles of appreciation on their faces. “Mom, why do they have to wait for me before eating ?”
• “Son, I just wanted all of us to start eating at the same time. It's no big deal, they’re just being too serious.” she says, huffing and rolling her eyes at them.
• “Okay, that’s enough, let’s eat.” I told them.
• ”Dad, Greg, and I have some business to attend to in the city, so we’ll be gone for some hours. I was hoping you could be in charge until we get back.“
• ”Okay son, I’ll be happy to help,” Dad says.
• “I was thinking of going to the city later today, I wanted to surprise Macy, I haven’t been able to see her because of how busy we’ve both been, maybe we could go together and you guys can link up since your first meeting didn’t go well.,” Derick says smiling.
• Everyone at the table froze at his words, all eyes on me, waiting for my reaction. I felt Rage stir underneath at his words.
• “Derick! Watch what you say.“ Mom says.
• “What did I say wrong? And why’s everyone looking at me like I just committed a crime.” Derick says, confused.
• “Nothing you’ve done nothing Brother, just eat.” I tell him.
• ”How dare he claim her in front of everyone.” my wolf says angrily in my head. Now can we blame him, when he knows nothing about her being my mate, he’s just as clueless and innocent.
• I lost my appetite and couldn’t eat anything, so I stood up and left the table. “Thanks, Mom, I’m done.”
• ”But you haven’t eaten anything at all son, are you sure you're done.”
• ” Yes I’m certain, thanks for breakfast.“ I kiss her on the head and leave the room.
• Greg comes up to me in my room after a while already dressed.
• “What business are we going into town for? Because as far as I can think, the only business you have in town for now is Macy.“ he says.
• “Since you know why we’re going, just shut up and go get the car ready.”
• ” Yes Alpha.” Greg says, smiling before leaving my room.
• As I am left alone, my mind wanders to the dream I had last night, just thinking about it makes me shudder. What could that dream possibly mean?
• ”Alpha the car is ready.” I hear Greg’s voice through the mind link, I take my phone and leave the room.
• MACY POV
• These past few days have been hell for me, I think I’m going crazy, I think something is wrong with me, maybe I’ll just go see a therapist. All thanks to my work, I have been able to get a lot off my mind, these days all I do is work and work and work, which only helps a little because regardless of what I do I still think of him.
• Liam Torres, 29 years old, The firstborn of the Torres family, one of America’s hottest Bachelors, A successful man with Billions of dollars and countless businesses to his name. Oh, God! I mutter under my breath as I stare absentmindedly at my computer system, I had looked him up on the internet AGAIN! It was one of the things that helped me. I was getting obsessed with a man I could never have.
• “Bye Macy, I’m heading out.” Lori says.
• ”Bye Lori, thanks for today. see you tomorrow.” It was already past five pm, but I still had some work to attend to and I don’t want to take work home today, so I decided to just finish it here before heading out.
• It was already seven when I finished my work and decided to leave for home, I headed to the lot but when I got there, what I saw made my heart skip.
• Two burglars were trying to open my car, I screamed at them, brought my phone out, and threatened to call the police, but they brought out a dagger and pointed it at me.
• I tried to run away but immediately, just like lightning, I saw a man, and Before I knew it, I heard screams, everything happened so fast I opened my eyes and I saw the two men who tried breaking into my car lying unconscious on the concrete floor.
• My heart hammering in my chest so loud I couldn’t understand what happened, I turned my back to run when I hit something hard. Looking up, I see the same face that has been haunting me in my dreams, invading my thoughts and my mind.
• ”You! Wh…at are you doing here?” I stutter, eyes wide and lips parted staring at him,
• “Are you okay?” He says with his deep husky male voice, oh God I felt like I couldn’t breathe, everything about him was just so perfect.
• ”yes, yes I’m fine, uh was just about to go home before this.” I can’t believe I forgot about the situation at hand
• ” What happened to them? Did you do that? Are they alive?” I asked all at once, shaking.
• “Come with me, I’ll take you home.” he said, I stood still without moving an inch with him, I was shocked at everything that happened in just minutes.
• “Come on, it’s not safe out here and it's freezing.” he says taking my hands in his and taking me to his car. As our hands touched I felt an electric sweet feeling, oh God, I removed my hands immediately shocked at the feeling. He didn’t seem surprised and just opened the door to the back seat.
• After I got in, he followed suit, and a man who I know to be Greg got in the driver’s seat and we drove off. I thought he was alone.
• It was a few minutes into driving when I heard him say out loud:
• “I missed you, mate.”
