Chapter 44

• I woke up two hours later, and Macy was still unconscious as she was earlier. I leaned closer to her on the bed, so close I could feel her breath on my face, my hands moved to her face and pushed back some strands of her hair that had fallen in front and covered part of her face,
• She looked so beautiful, Mom had cleaned her up earlier after the doctor left and helped changed her clothes into my T-shirt and some sweatpants, so she could sleep comfortably.
• I reluctantly left the bed and the room after taking a quick shower and changing my clothes, I walked downstairs to the living room, both my brother and Beta were back and both seated on different cushions with worried looks on both their faces.
