Chapter 251

• "Fine," Carlos yawned, suddenly tired. The day's exertions were finally catching up to him. "I still don't see why you can't stay during the day."
• "You wouldn't understand," Emily mumbled once he was asleep. She gave him a couple of minutes, waiting until he was snoring before getting her clothes on with as much speed as she could muster. Emily was out of the building and on the streets heading home a moment later.
• Oh my God! Emily thought with fear in her gut as she rushed back to Vanderheim Towers. I'm sleeping with a Human Hunter and they've just killed a Lurker!
