Chapter 218

  • The creature raised its massive arms high and let out a bellowing roar so loud and so fierce that James figured that it would've sent both Godzilla and King Kong both running for the hills. What amazed James the most was that Beth did not seem to be surprised in the least of the thing as she was still swimming for it as if her life depended on it. Judging by the Hunters that had her on the ground, one of which had his belt out, that probably wasn't too far from the truth.
  • It was at this time that the Hunters remembered that they had guns and that they should probably use them. They whipped their Assault Rifles up and opened fire on the creature. Streaks of bullets flew into the massive thing and all they seemed to do was piss it off. It let out another massive roar and the Hunters decided that now would be a good time to vacate the premises. They turned to run but only made it about five steps before the creature's two massive fists came down on them so hard that it caused yet another earthquake, this one more in the 6.0 magnitude range. James tumbled to the ground from the shaking as the two remaining Hunters were instantly crushed.
  • Then the creature turned its huge face towards him and James held up its hands in peace. "Whoa, easy fellah, friendly!" He said quickly. "I took care of the other two inside!"
