Chapter 223
- The resounding crack of the rifle was deafening inside of the cave. The bullet hissed through the air. "Shit! My shoulder!" One of the men cried out. Nicole could see him reel back, clutching his left shoulder as he fell backwards.
- "Cease fire!" the other man called out. "Dammit Nicole, Christina, whoever the fuck is firing, it's us!"
- Nicole blinked. "A-Aden?" she called out in a meek voice.
