- As I watched him leave, I quickly jumped on my feet and rushed to close the door. I staggered back and fell to the floor in a disheveled heap as my pain poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears. My words broke up; all I could say were stuttering words. Painful tears cascaded down my face, and I squeezed my eyelids shut, hoping that the tears would stop, but they didn’t.
- I couldn’t believe it; it just didn’t make sense that all of this was happening. It made no sense that the man I was in love with, the one with whom I had shared moments, was nothing but a monster, an anomaly, and the worst part was that I was carrying his baby.
