Chapter 42

• IRIS.
• My feet sank into wet humus as I ran through a dark forest. Twigs snapped and leaves slapped my body as I kept running for my life. I had seen three beasts transform before me. And they'd seen me before I could hide and as expected, began to pursue after me, running with great speed.
• All I could hear was the thump of my heart beat against my chest, the clap of thunder, the sound of leaves under my feet, the sound of limbs running after me and finally, scary, menacing growls that drew close to me as time went on.
