Chapter 65 I NEED TO MEET HIS MOM
- Amelia's POV
- Looking out from the window with my elbow on the window sill and my hand supporting my cheek. All my life, everything from the beginning, right from when I was a kid, how perfect my life was until I got two adorable sisters which caused the turn of events. Wearing a soft smile while tears gradually filled my eyes, I thank God for life and everything he'd done so far, my life may not be all sunshine and rainbows, but I give all adoration to Him for He has done so very much for me. Now, I'm living the comfortable life I have always craved, forgetting about my past completely. The only thing I'm looking forward to is finding my real mother and also Kiara, I'm confident she's alive, and she would be found soon. Arriving back in Texas after we went to visit Kiara's mom, Mr. Alexander and I got married a week after, and we've been living well and nice even though we only put on an act in Granny's presence. Even though Mr. Alexander and I sleep in the same room, nothing ever takes place between us, he would always remind me that Kiara is the only woman who dominates his heart. However, recalling what had happened last night, I felt for him so bad, he has suffered so much, restraining himself and not wanting to get involved with another woman. Sighing loudly, Kiara must be found, she shall be found.
- Half an hour later, the car rolled to a stop in the parking lot. I readjusted my facial expression, put on an honorable smile, then pushed the car door open. Holding up my bag, I amounted my pace into the building, waving and greeting anyone who crossed my path. Yesterday was my first time here, so I haven't gotten familiar with the faces. After long strides in the hallway, I bent the doorknob then set my foot in the office. My eyes searched everywhere, unable to find anyone I mouthed, 'wow' I guess I came earlier. I had barely taken my seat when the door swung open after a brief knock. Wearing a bright smile, I rose to my feet upon seeing the person, “Good morning, Attorney Gabriel” I greeted warmly, lowering my head slightly. “Morning to you too, Miss Amelia” His steps got closer to my desk, “Good news, Miss. You've got a colleague” He announced, raising my head to look at him with furrowed brows, “But I thought I was the only one who was picked in my school, sir” I told him, looking confused. The smile playing around his lips only grew wider as he tugged one of his hands in his trouser pocket, “Of course dear, as a matter of fact, our law firm only accepts a student who passed the exam with distinctions, and I'm sure you're aware of that,” I nodded directly, waiting for his next words, Smiling, he tilted his head towards the door and said, “Come in,”
