Chapter 49 What I Want

• Ethan wasn’t entirely happy with how the conversation had gone—or with his own decision. There was a better, more secure solution to this issue. All he had to do was get rid of the link and not involve the same circle of people who would be happy this happened to him. Ethan didn’t want that connection with his family for anything, whatsoever.
• It would be a more reliable solution than talking to his father or involving him. The father he knew would want leverage, and things would get messier. He was already messy and didn’t need more chaos. He just wanted happiness and a clear head for once. If anyone else found out the true history of the family, things would go sour.
• He left everything behind to start afresh and build his empire because his father’s was soiled with blood. And, going to him for a cause like this was bad news.
