• Brandon had barely made it to Ethan’s office out of excitement when Ethan got another call that someone important was headed to their office for a huge deal. They were coming from Washington. Since he was already in the office and had nothing to lose, Ethan accepted the visit, pushing aside the Eliot Bassett’s topic. Guess who had to suffer the abrupt notice? You guessed right. Brandon.
• Brandon and Becky scrambled all day to get ready for Ethan’s four o’clock meeting with the team from Washington, DC. They grabbed an information-packed lunch with the two creatives who would be participating in the pitch when it got to that point in the process; then they went over everything, making sure it was perfect.
• Brandon felt a knot of anxiety tighten in his stomach as the time approached. He had never done such a huge pitch before, but Becky kept working, brushing off his nervousness with a practiced ease. She had done this many times with Ethan.
