• Two days passed with Ethan by Brandon’s side as he recuperated. They had settled into a pattern for their activities: intimacy, Ethan working while Brandon rested, Britney preparing or ordering meals, and then the three of them catching up. This was the closest to normalcy Ethan had ever felt—no worries, feeling seen and heard, and laughing freely.
