Chapter 26 A Trap Is Set

• Eve's eyes were still locked on Antonius, her mind racing with fear and confusion. But then, a soft voice called out to her, and everything vanished. The darkened office, the reddish glow, Antonius's menacing presence - all of it disappeared in an instant.
• Eve blinked, her eyes adjusting to the bright fluorescent lights of the office. She looked around, disoriented, and saw Kelly standing in front of her, a look of concern etched on her face.
• "Eve, are you okay?" Kelly asked, her voice soft and gentle. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
