Chapter 10 Captive Of Fate

• Lorenzo had gone home before their plan could be set in motion. Despite being surrounded by the girls he'd brought home from the party, his mind kept drifting back to Eve's safety. The thought of her in harm's way was unbearable.
• He dismissed the girls, throwing dollar bills at them without a second thought. Even his own girlfriend tried to calm him down with seduction, but he sent her away, and she retreated to her room in shame.
• Lorenzo lit his third cigarette, his mind still consumed by thoughts of Eve. Just as he was finishing the second half of the cigarette, he heard the sound of a car pulling into his driveway. He rushed to the window, and his heart sank when he saw only his brother, Francesco, getting out of the car.
