Chapter 12 Glimmer Of Hope

• As Eve's finger pressed the trigger, the sound of the gun firing echoed through the room. The bullet shot out of the barrel, heading straight for Antonius's forehead. Time seemed to slow down as the bullet hurtled towards its target, and Eve's heart sank with the realization that she had just sealed her fate.
• But instead of penetrating Antonius's skin, the bullet struck his forehead with a loud thud, like a rock hitting a solid wall. The impact was immense, but Antonius didn't flinch. He didn't even blink. It was as if he had been expecting the bullet all along.
• The room fell silent, with Eve staring at Antonius in shock and awe. Her eyes were wide with wonder, her mind struggling to comprehend what she had just seen. She had shot him point-blank, and yet he was still standing, unscathed.
