Chapter 26 (Michael's Pov)

• Well weirdly, I am still alive.
• To be honest Mr. Devin is not as bad as I thought he would be, especially since he thought I hurt his daughter in some way. But after the first shouted words my way, he pretty much calmed down, of course, thanks to Gabriel. And after that, I was given a chance to explain everything. And I did. Explain that is. I have told Mr. Devin and Gabriel everything and surprisingly they were both very open-minded and accepted my words without a doubt. Which kind of started making sense after a few moments when Mr. Devin started speaking: "Yeah. I love my daughter like crazy, especially since I missed so much of her life. But she can be a stubborn little thing. “Now you all know how we view those scary evil mobster kings of the underworld right? As I have already said, cold, evil, scary, with no heart…you get the drill. But right here right now, Mr. Devin was blushing at his own words and next to him Gabriel was chuckling before he spoke up, "Yeah boss man I really wonder where she got that trait from."
• If I had to read between the lines, I would say that she was stubborn after her father and honestly somehow, I could see her traits in him if I looked harder.
