Chapter 16 (Michael's Pov)

• You are probably thinking that I am crazy to come out with such an idea out of the blue, but honestly, the idea was not new. Yeah, sure we came up with it a long time ago as two kids just joking around, but the older we got the more I thought about all the possibilities.
• We might not be as close as we once were but nonetheless, I still knew Sidney was as smart as she was back then if not even smarter, so I had no doubts we could work together perfectly. Like I said before, I might be the face of the project, but she was always the brains behind the scenes, and she loved what she was doing.
• But as the seconds kept passing and she said nothing I started doubting myself. Maybe I went in the wrong direction and maybe she simply did not find it interesting anymore, maybe now she was in another field, or she found a passion for something else. Still, I could not bring myself to say anything to her so I just kept quiet and waited for whatever might come out of her mouth once she got over the shock of my proposal.
