Chapter 22 (Michael's Pov)

• As soon as I pulled Sidney into my arms I could feel as if I was whole again. But what else I could feel was Mr. Devin’s eyes drilling holes into me, while Mr. Gabriel chuckled somewhere close by. Of course, he did it silently so even me and Sidney could barely hear it. I knew if I kept hugging Sidney a bit longer, I would be in deep trouble with Mr. Devin so against my will I let her go and stepped a step away from her before putting a partly fake smile on my lips, “Yeah Pumpkin. I am fine now. But I do think we should find my parents. Kelly said something about them being tied somewhere in this house, but I have no idea where they could be.”
• Suddenly Sidney’s eyes grew as big as possible before she turned to her dad, “We need to find them dad. Who knows what dad bitch might have done to them!”
• I raised my head to look at Mr. Devin, but he already had a phone pressed to his ear, “Did you find them? Yeah. Sure. Take them to the hospital and let them know I have sent you and they need to be treated as my friends are we clear?” and next thing you know he already hung up on the person on the other side of the line and looked our way again, “My men found them. They were tied up in the basement and are already on the way to the hospital so the medical team can make sure they are alright. Michael, do you need to see a doctor as well or do you feel alright?”
