• I had been gone for almost two weeks after my brother’s surgery because he had a few complications. He’s doing well and happier than ever. I wish I had his lighthearted outlook on life because even at his worst he was all smiles. Things would be so much simpler if everyone had that attitude.
• Since I decided to stay in Florida during his recovery, I took some time to work with our new pack warriors in training. I needed time on the battleground myself so I could get back into shape and clear my head from this Blue Moon situation. All Miss Milly’s pastries did a number on my waistline.
